Editorial Policy

Pharmapedia Pro publishes educational medical reference material for students and professionals. This policy explains where content comes from, how we signal its reliability, and how errors are handled.

Content on this site falls into different provenance classes, and we try to show that to readers rather than hide it:

• Legacy content. The medicine database, ward guide, and several blog posts were migrated from an earlier Pharmapedia app bundle. Migrated rows are marked legacy.
• Unreviewed content. Legacy content that has not yet been reviewed by a named clinician is flagged as unreviewed. A published protocol that lacks a named reviewer shows this to the reader; nothing about review status is implied where a review has not actually happened.
• Dates. We do not backdate review or publication dates. Older blog posts display their original publication date from the earlier bundle with an “unverified” note rather than a misleadingly fresh date. A reviewer name and date are recorded only when a real review has taken place.

Clinical content is meant to be reviewed by a named clinician before being presented as reliable. Until then it stays flagged as unreviewed, and some tools remain switched off until their data source has been independently validated. We would rather publish less than publish something we cannot stand behind.

Readers can submit corrections through the Corrections page. Submissions are reviewed by staff, and content is only changed after that check. We may not be able to reply to every correction, but each one is read.

Advertisers do not influence which content is published, how it is written, or how it is ranked. Advertising, when it runs, is clearly distinguished from editorial content. See our Advertising Policy.

Content on Pharmapedia Pro is for education and reference only. It does not constitute medical advice, and it is not directed at patients. Clinicians should follow their hospital's policies and consult up-to-date primary sources; patients should consult a qualified healthcare professional.
