Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 2026
This policy explains what information Pharmapedia Pro collects when you use the site, why we collect it, and what we do with it. We aim to collect as little as we need to run the site, and we do not sell personal data.
1. Information we collect
a. Account data (only if you register)
If you create an account we store your name, email address, country, and a hashed (never plain-text) password. Registered users may also store course enrolment and order records.
b. Visit analytics
To understand which pages are useful and where visitors come from, we record anonymous visit events: the page viewed, an approximate location (country/city) derived from your IP address, your browser's user-agent string, and a timestamp. This is aggregate, in-house analytics — we do not use a third-party analytics vendor.
c. Messages you send us
Corrections, contact, and feedback messages are stored with the content you provide, your optional name and email, and the IP address the message was sent from. The IP is kept only to enforce per-IP rate limits and prevent spam or abuse, and is not displayed anywhere on the site.
d. Cookies
When you are signed in we use a session cookie so you stay authenticated. If advertising is enabled, advertising providers may set their own cookies; details are in the advertising provider's own privacy terms.
e. Health data
We do not ask for and do not intentionally collect personal health information. Please do not include your own or anyone else's medical details or patient-identifiable data in messages.
2. How we use information
- To operate your account and deliver courses you enrol in.
- To understand aggregate site usage and improve the resource.
- To review and act on corrections, contact, and feedback messages.
- To protect the site against abuse, spam, and unauthorised access.
3. What we do not do
- We do not sell or rent personal information.
- We do not use your personal data to make automated decisions that affect you in a legal or similarly significant way.
- We do not show your submitted messages publicly, and we never attribute a correction to you without permission.
4. Who we share data with
We share data only with service providers that help us run the site — primarily the hosting provider that stores the database and files. If advertising is enabled, the ad network receives the standard data its tags send when an advert loads. We do not otherwise share personal data except where required by law.
5. Retention
Account and enrolment data is kept while your account is active. Visit analytics is kept as long as needed for aggregate reporting. Messages are retained until the matter is resolved and no longer needed. IP addresses used for rate limiting are not retained beyond what is needed for that purpose.
6. Your choices
You can stop the site from recording further visit events by not using it; analytics cannot identify you as an individual from the data we keep. If you have an account you can ask us to delete it, and you may ask us to remove a message you sent or any personal data we hold about you.
7. Children
The site is directed at healthcare students and professionals. If you are under 18, please do not register or send us personal information.
8. Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the site changes; the date above shows when it was last updated. Questions or requests about your data can be sent through the Contact page.
