Terms of Service

These terms apply to the Pharmapedia Pro mobile app for Android and iOS, and to the website at pharmapedia.pro ("the Service"), published by Pharmapedia Private Limited ("we", "us").

By using the Service you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it.

1. The Service is a reference, not medical advice

This is the most important term here.

Pharmapedia Pro provides drug information, dosing tables, interaction summaries, clinical chapters, triage guidance, calculators and exam practice questions for healthcare professionals and students.

  • It does not give medical advice and does not replace your own clinical judgement, the product literature, or local guidelines and formularies.
  • You are responsible for every clinical decision you make. Always verify critical information, especially doses for children and newborns, against an independent source before acting.
  • The content may contain errors or be out of date. Where an entry is marked unverified or carries an older date, treat it accordingly.
  • The calculators and the assistant produce results from the information you enter. Check them.
  • If you believe something in the app is wrong, please report it through the app so we can correct it.

We provide the Service "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of it, including any clinical outcome.

2. Who may use it

You must be at least 18, or old enough to enter a contract where you live. The Service is intended for doctors, pharmacists, nurses, and students in the health professions.

3. Your account

  • Keep your sign-in details secure. You are responsible for activity on your account.
  • Give accurate information, particularly the prescriber details printed on prescriptions.
  • You may delete your account in the app at any time.
  • We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or the law.

4. Pharmapedia Pro subscriptions

What Pro includes. Pro removes ads, allows unlimited bookmarks, unlocks all prescription templates, and unlocks the Clinical Quiz Arena's unlimited practice and analytics. The features included in Pro may change over time; the current list is shown on the subscription screen in the app.

Plans and prices. Prices are shown in the app before purchase, in your local currency, and vary by country.

Free trial. Where a free trial is offered, it is stated on the subscription screen. Trials are available only to people who have not subscribed before, as determined by the App Store or Google Play. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, the subscription begins and the first payment is taken.

Billing and renewal. Subscriptions are sold through the App Store or Google Play, not by us directly.

  • Payment is charged to your Apple or Google account at confirmation of purchase.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless you turn off auto-renewal at least 24 hours before it ends.
  • Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period, at the price for your plan.

Cancelling. Manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep Pro until the end of the period you have paid for.

Refunds. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their own policies, not by us. Contact them for a refund request.

Price changes. If we change prices, the new price applies to new subscriptions. Existing subscribers keep their price unless they are told otherwise and agree, as the stores require.

5. Ads

Free use of the app is supported by advertising. Pro subscribers see no ads.

6. The Clinical Quiz Arena

  • Play fairly. Do not use automated tools, multiple accounts, or any method of inflating scores. We may reset scores or remove accounts that do.
  • Choose a display name that is not offensive and does not impersonate someone else. You may compete under a pen name or anonymously.
  • Leaderboards may be reset, and scoring rules may change.
  • Practice questions are written for study. They are not past papers from any examining board, and we are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to CPSP, PMDC, the GMC, the NBME, Prometric, or any other examining body. Exam names are used only to describe the subject matter.

7. Prescriptions and patient data

The prescription writer produces documents you create. You remain the prescriber and are responsible for what you write, and for handling any patient information in line with the law and professional duties that apply to you. Patient details entered in the app are stored only on your device.

8. Acceptable use

Do not:

  • copy, extract, scrape or redistribute the drug database, clinical content or question bank;
  • decompile or reverse engineer the app, except where the law allows it;
  • use the Service to build a competing product;
  • upload unlawful, offensive or infringing content;
  • interfere with the Service or try to access accounts or data that are not yours.

9. Our content and yours

The app, its design, the database, clinical content and questions belong to us or our licensors and are protected by copyright. You get a personal, non-transferable licence to use the Service for your own professional work or study.

Anything you submit, such as a drug report or a display name, stays yours, but you give us permission to use it to run and improve the Service.

10. Availability and changes

We may change, suspend or stop parts of the Service. Features may be added or removed. The offline database keeps working without a connection, but online features such as sign-in, the leaderboard and purchases need one.

11. Ending these terms

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may end your access if you break these terms. Sections that by their nature should survive, including disclaimers and limits of liability, continue to apply.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan, and the courts of Pakistan have jurisdiction, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.
