Contraindications

Antazoline is contraindicated in conditions like Heart disease, Narrow-angle glaucoma.

Side Effects

WARNING/CAUTION: Even though it may be rare, some people may have very bad and sometimes deadly side effects when taking a drug. Tell your doctor or get medical help right away if you have any of the following signs or symptoms that may be related to a very bad side effect: Signs of an allergic reaction, like rash ; hives; itching ; red, swollen, blistered, or peeling skin with or without fever ; wheezing ; tightness in the chest or throat; trouble breathing, swallowing, or talking; unusual hoarseness; or swelling of the mouth, face, lips, tongue, or throat. Signs of high blood pressure like very bad headache or dizziness, passing out, or change in eyesight. Signs of high blood sugar like confusion, feeling sleepy, more thirst, more hungry, passing urine more often, flushing, fast breathing, or breath that smells like fruit. Signs of heart problems like chest pain, fast heartbeat , a heartbeat that does not feel normal, or shortness of breath . Change in eyesight, eye pain, or very bad eye irritation. Feeling sleepy.

Warnings

Antazoline should be used with caution in patients with any eye problems, high blood pressure, diabetes, thyroid disorder, heart disease, asthma or allergies, especially to sulfites. Use with caution during pregnancy or lactation.

High Risk Groups

Drug should not be given to Pediatrics, Pregnant Mothers, and Neonates. If prescribing authority justifies the benefits of the drug against the possible damages he/she should reevaluate them and consult the reference material and previous studies.

0.25 to 0.5 mg (0.38 (0.375)) 6 hourly Ophthalmic —
