Overview
Bamipine (Lactate) is a non-sedating antihistamine with pronounced sedative effects. Bamipine lactate is used topically for the symptomatic relief of allergic conditions such as urticaria and in pruritic skin disorders
Indications
Bamipine (Lactate) is primarily indicated in conditions like Pruritus, Urticaria.
Contraindications
Bamipine (Lactate) is contraindicated in conditions like Lactation, Hypersensitivity to the drug.
Side Effects
The symptomatic adverse reactions produced by Bamipine (Lactate) are more or less tolerable and if they become severe, they can be treated symptomatically, these include Drowsiness, Sedation, Skin sensitization.
Warnings
Should not be applied topically on broken or eczematous skin. When applied topically may cause systemic adverse effects.
High Risk Groups
Drug should not be given to Pregnant Mothers. If prescribing authority justifies the benefits of the drug against the possible damages he/she should reevaluate them and consult the reference material and previous studies.
