Overview
Cetalkonium (Cl) is a disinfectant. Cetalkonium (Cl) is used for antisepsis of oral-pharyngeal mucosa and as a preservative.
Indications
Cetalkonium (Cl) is primarily indicated in conditions like Denture irritation, Eye infections, Mouth ulceration, Toothache.
Contraindications
Cetalkonium (Cl) is contraindicated in conditions like Hypersensitivity to the drug.
Side Effects
The symptomatic adverse reactions produced by Cetalkonium (Cl) are more or less tolerable and if they become severe, they can be treated symptomatically, these include Nausea, Vomiting, Skin irritation.
Warnings
Avoid contact with eye. Those who have allergic reactions such as Itching.
High Risk Groups
If prescribing authority justifies the benefits of the drug against the possible damages he/she should reevaluate them and consult the reference material and previous studies.

Neonatal Dosage
0.1 % (0.1 (0.1)) 6 hourly topical — Recommended for children over 4 months
