Contraindications
You should not be treated with chloroprocaine ophthalmic if you are allergic to it.
Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
Side Effects
Get emergency medical help if you have signs of an allergic reaction: hives, difficult breathing, swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat.
Chloroprocaine ophthalmic may cause serious side effects. Call your doctor at once if you have:
vision changes.
Common side effects of chloroprocaine ophthalmic may include:
dilated pupils; severe eye redness ; or discomfort of the eye.

Adult Dosage
11 mg/kg (11 (11)) 24 hourly IV — With epinephrine.. Not to exceed t max total dose of 800mg.
14 mg/kg (14 (14)) 24 hourly IV — Without epinephrine.. Not to exceed t max total dose of 1000mg.
