Overview
Chorionic Gonadotrophin is a hormone produced in placenta. It stimulates the ovaries and the testes. Chorionic Gonadotrophin is used in males to stimulate testicular descent or testicular growth and development. In females, Chorionic Gonadotrophin is used in combination with other medication to induce ovulation.
Indications
Chorionic Gonadotrophin is primarily indicated in conditions like Cryptorchidism (undescended testes), Hypogonadotropic hypogonadism, Idiopathic male infertility, Induction of ovarian follicle maturation.
Contraindications
Chorionic Gonadotrophin is contraindicated in conditions like Precocious puberty, Ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHS),Edema, Uncontrolled thyroid or Adrenal dysfunction, Pregnancy
Side Effects
The severe or irreversible adverse effects of Chorionic Gonadotrophin, which give rise to further complications include Precocious puberty, Ovarian cyst,. Chorionic Gonadotrophin produces potentially life-threatening effects which include Ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS). which are responsible for the discontinuation of Chorionic Gonadotrophin therapy.The symptomatic adverse reactions produced by Chorionic Gonadotrophin are more or less tolerable and if they become severe, they can be treated symptomatically, these include Tiredness, Headache, Restlessness, Depression, Edema, Gynecomastia, Mood changes, Reaction at injection site, Pain at injection site
Warnings
Treated animals must not be slaughtered for use in food for at least 7 days after the latest treatment with this drug. Keep out of reach of children.

Adult Dosage
5000 to 10000 IU (7500 (7500)) As recommended. IM — According to patient`s response. Scraped Dose — One 5 mL dose of reconstituted P.G. 600-5D, containing 400 IU equine serum gonadotrophin and 200 IU chorionic gonadotrophin, should be injected subcutaneously into the gilt’s or sow’s neck behind the ear. Use as directed by a veterinarian.
Child Dosage
50 to 100 IU/kg (75 (75)) As recommended. Intra Muscular — Alternate days for several weeks, (for boys)
Neonatal Dosage
