You should not use cycloserine if you are allergic to it, or if you have: epilepsy or other seizure disorder; depression , anxiety , or mental illness; severe kidney disease; or if you drink large amounts of alcohol. Cycloserine is not approved for use by anyone younger than 18 years old. Tell your doctor if you have ever had: a seizure; or kidney problems. It is not known whether cycloserine will harm an unborn baby. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant. You should not breast-feed while using cycloserine.

Get emergency medical help if you have signs of an allergic reaction : hives; difficult breathing; swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat. Cycloserine may cause serious side effects. Call your doctor at once if you have: a seizure; confusion, depressed mood, unusual thoughts or behavior; severe drowsiness , severe dizziness or spinning sensation; swelling, rapid weight gain; overactive reflexes, tremors or shaking; trouble speaking; or muscle weakness. Common side effects of cycloserine may include: dizziness, drowsiness; mood changes; headache ; or numbness, tingling, burning pain. This is not a complete list of side effects and others may occur. 0.5 to 1 g (0.75 (0.75)) 12 hourly PO — Scraped Dose — Your doctor will perform a blood test to make sure cycloserine is the right treatment for your condition. Use this medicine for the full prescribed length of time, even if your symptoms quickly improve. Skipping doses can increase your risk of infection that is resistant to medication. Cycloserine will not treat a viral infection such as the flu or a common cold . You will need frequent medical tests. Tuberculosis is often treated with a combination of medications. Use all medications as directed and read all medication guides you receive. Do not change your dose or dosing schedule without your doctor's advice. Store at room temperature away from moisture and heat.
