Overview
Diethylamine (Salicylate) is a rubefacient. Diethylamine (Salicylate) is used for rheumatic and muscular pain.
Indications
Diethylamine (Salicylate) is primarily indicated in conditions like Musculoskeletal disorders, Pain, Rheumatic disease (pain and inflammation), and can also be given in adjunctive therapy as an alternative drug of choice in Rheumatoid arthritis.
Contraindications
Diethylamine (Salicylate) is contraindicated in conditions like Broken skin, Hypersensitivity to the drug.
Side Effects
The symptomatic adverse reactions produced by Diethylamine (Salicylate) are more or less tolerable and if they become severe, they can be treated symptomatically, these include Rashes, Redness, Burning sensation, Flushing of the skin.
Warnings
It should be used with caution in pregnancy, hypertriglyceridemia, diabetes, obesity and in case of increased ethanol intake.
High Risk Groups
Drug should not be given to Pregnant Mothers.If prescribing authority justifies the benefits of the drug against the possible damages he/she should reevaluate them and consult the reference material and previous studies.
