Contraindications
Hepatitis A Vaccine is contraindicated in conditions like Thrombocytopenia, Hypersensitivity.
Side Effects
WARNING/CAUTION: Even though it may be rare, some people may have very bad and sometimes deadly side effects when taking a drug. Tell your
doctor or get medical help right away if you have any of the following signs or symptoms that may be related to a very bad side effect:
Signs of an allergic reaction, like rash ; hives; itching ; red, swollen, blistered, or peeling skin with or without fever ; wheezing ;
tightness in the chest or throat; trouble breathing, swallowing, or talking; unusual hoarseness; or swelling of the mouth, face, lips, tongue,
or throat. A burning, numbness, or tingling feeling that is not normal. Trouble controlling body movements. Very bad dizziness or passing out. Change in eyesight. High fever.
Warnings
Patient on the hemodialysis or with an impaired immune system may require additional doses of the vaccine. The administration of vaccine should be postponed in subjects suffering from acute severe febrile illness. Under no circumstances should the vaccine be administered intravascularly.
High Risk Groups
Drug should not be given to Pregnant Mothers, and Neonates. If prescribing authority justifies the benefits of the drug against the possible damages he/she should reevaluate them and consult the reference material and previous studies.
Adult Dosage
1440 ELU (1400 (1440)) As recommended. IM — No of doses are 2, schedule months are 0,6 to 12, volume per dose,ml is 1.
50 U (50 (50)) As recommended. IM — No of doses are 2 schedule months are 0,6 to 18, volume per dose,ml is 1.
720 ELU (720 (720)) As recommended. IM — No of doses are 3, schedule months are 0,1,6, volume per dose,ml is 1.
