Iodipamide Meglumine is contraindicated in conditions like Hepatic dysfunction,Pregnancy,Renal dysfunction,Hypersensitivity to any component of product.

WARNING/CAUTION: Even though it may be rare, some people may have very bad and sometimes deadly side effects when taking a drug. Tell your doctor or get medical help right away if you have any of the following signs or symptoms that may be related to a very bad side effect: Signs of an allergic reaction, like rash; hives; itching ; red, swollen, blistered, or peeling skin with or without fever; wheezing ; tightness in the chest or throat; trouble breathing, swallowing, or talking; unusual hoarseness; or swelling of the mouth, face, lips, tongue, or throat. Signs of kidney problems like unable to pass urine, change in how much urine is passed, blood in the urine, or a big weight gain. Signs of liver problems like dark urine, feeling tired, not hungry, upset stomach or stomach pain, light-colored stools, throwing up, or yellow skin or eyes. Shortness of breath . Very bad dizziness or passing out. Chest pain or pressure or a fast heartbeat . A heartbeat that does not feel normal. Blue or gray skin color. Weakness on 1 side of the body, trouble speaking or thinking, change in balance, drooping on one side of the face, or blurred eyesight. This medicine may cause tissue damage if the drug leaks from the vein. Tell your nurse if you have any redness, burning, pain, swelling, blisters, skin sores, or leaking of fluid where the drug is going into your body. Very bad skin reactions ( Stevens-Johnson syndrome / toxic epidermal necrolysis ) may happen from 1 hour to several weeks after getting this drug. These skin reactions can cause very bad health problems that may not go away, and sometimes death. Get medical help right away if you have signs like red, swollen, blistered, or peeling skin (with or without fever); red or irritated eyes; or sores in your mouth, throat, nose, or eyes.

Diagnostic procedures which involve the use of radiopaque diagnostic agents should be carried out under the direction of personnel with the prerequisite training and with a thorough knowledge of the particular procedure to be performed. The possibility of a reaction should always be considered. Patients at increased risk include those with a history of a previous reaction to a contrast medium, patients with a known sensitivity to iodine, and patients with a known clinical hypersensitivity: bronchial asthma, hay fever, and food allergies.

Drug should not be given to Pregnant Mothers.If prescribing authority justifies the benefits of the drug against the possible damages he/she should reevaluate them and consult the reference material and previous studies.

IV — Intravenous drip infusion, 100 mL of a solution containing the equivalent of 51 mg of iodine per mL, administered slowly over a period of thirty to forty-five minutes. 20 ml (20 (20)) As recommended. IV — Intravenous, 20 mL of a solution containing the equivalent of 260 mg of iodine per mL administered slowly over a period of ten minutes, not to be repeated for twenty-four hours.
