Repaglinide and metformin combination is used to treat high blood sugar levels caused by a type of diabetes mellitus (sugar diabetes) called type 2 diabetes. It is used together with a proper diet and exercise to help control blood sugar levels in patients who are already treated with meglitinide and metformin combination, or in patients who have been taking meglitinide or metformin but did not work well. Iotrolan is contraindicated in conditions like Hyperthyroidism, Inflammation.

Along with its needed effects, a medicine may cause some unwanted effects. Although not all of these side effects may occur, if they do occur they may need medical attention. Check with your doctor immediately if any of the following side effects occur: More common Anxiety blurred vision body aches or pain chills cold sweats coma confusion cool, pale skin cough depression difficulty with breathing dizziness ear congestion fast heartbeat fever headache increased hunger loss of voice nasal congestion nausea nervousness nightmares runny nose seizures shakiness slurred speech sneezing sore throat unusual tiredness or weakness Some side effects may occur that usually do not need medical attention. These side effects may go away during treatment as your body adjusts to the medicine. Also, your health care professional may be able to tell you about ways to prevent or reduce some of these side effects. Iotrolan should be administered with great caution in patients with asthma and history of allergy, and should be avoided to patients with known hypersensitivity to iodine or contrast media. Caution is needed in patients with severe hepatic (liver) or renal impairment or who may be at a risk of renal failure. Dehydration patients should have their fluid and electrolyte balance corrected before administration of contrast medium. It should be used with extreme caution in patients with hypertension, cardiac disease, pheochromocytoma, sickle-cell anemia or hypothyroidism. Avoid use during pregnancy.

Drug should not be given to Paediatrics, Pregnant Mothers, Cardiac / Hypertensive Patients, patients suffering from Kidney dysfunction, and patients suffering from Liver Malfunction.
