Overview

Lactic Acid used in the treatment of acidosis. Topically it is used in the treatment of warts.

Indications

Lactic Acid is primarily indicated in conditions like Pruritus, Skin diseases, and can also be given in adjunctive therapy as an alternative drug of choice in Stomatitis.

Contraindications

Lactic Acid is contraindicated in conditions like Hypersensitivity to the drug.

Side Effects

The symptomatic adverse reactions produced by Lactic Acid are more or less tolerable and if they become severe, they can be treated symptomatically, these include Erythema, Irritation, Burning, Stinging on application, Peeling, Sun sensitivity

Warnings

Sun exposure (natural or artificial sunlight) to area of skin treated with Lactic Acid Creme should be minimized or avoided.

Adult Dosage

1 to 5 % (3 (3)) As recommended. Topical — As Required Scraped Dose — Apply thoroughly twice a day onto the affected areas or as directed by your PODIATRIST, DERMATOLOGIST or PHYSICIAN. Dispense in accordance with applicable state law. This product has not been approved by the FDA, is not listed in the Orange Book, and has not been approved or rated for therapeutic equivalence with any other product.
