Overview

Contraindications
Lindane is contraindicated in conditions like Hypersensitivity, Seizures, Skin inflammation.
Side Effects
WARNING/CAUTION: Even though it may be rare, some people may have very bad and sometimes deadly side effects when taking a drug. Tell your doctor or get medical help right away if you have any of the following signs or symptoms that may be related to a very bad side effect: Signs of an allergic reaction, like rash ; hives; itching ; red, swollen, blistered, or peeling skin with or without fever ; wheezing ; tightness in the chest or throat; trouble breathing, swallowing, or talking; unusual hoarseness; or swelling of the mouth, face, lips, tongue, or throat. Dizziness. Seizures . Very bad irritation where lindane shampoo is used.
Warnings
Lindane should not be used in patients with seizure disorders, have open wounds or sores or are allergic to lindane. Elderly persons may be more sensitive to the effects of this medication and a dose reduction may be required. Pregnant women should not be treated more than twice during the pregnancy. Lindane should not be used in neonates, infants 2 years old and younger because of the possibility of high systemic absorption. Children 10 years old and younger also should be treated cautiously with lindane because of an increased potential for toxicity.
High Risk Groups
Drug should not be given to Pediatrics, Pregnant Mothers, and Neonates. If prescribing authority justifies the benefits of the drug against the possible damages he/she should reevaluate them and consult the reference material and previous studies.

1 % (1 (1)) 8 hourly Topical — As Required
Child Dosage
1 % (1 (1)) 8 hourly Topical — As Required
Neonatal Dosage
1 % (1 (1)) 8 hourly Topical — As Required
