Side Effects
WARNING/CAUTION: Even though it may be rare, some people may have very bad and sometimes deadly side effects when taking a drug. Tell your
doctor or get medical help right away if you have any of the following signs or symptoms that may be related to a very bad side effect:
Signs of an allergic reaction, like rash ; hives; itching ; red, swollen, blistered, or peeling skin with or without fever ; wheezing ;
tightness in the chest or throat; trouble breathing, swallowing, or talking; unusual hoarseness; or swelling of the mouth, face, lips, tongue,
or throat. This medicine can cause very bad breathing problems right after you take a dose. Sometimes, this may be life-threatening. If you have trouble
breathing, breathing that is worse, wheezing, or coughing after using nedocromil (oral inhalation), use a rescue inhaler and get medical help right away.
Warnings
Nedocromil should be used with caution in patients with any illness, infection or allergy. It should be used with caution during pregnancy. This medication will not stop an asthma attack. However, you should continue to take it during an attack, along with a bronchodilator (a medication that increases air flow to your lungs) to relieve the acute symptoms.
High Risk Groups
Drug should not be given to Pediatrics, Pregnant Mothers, and Neonates. If prescribing authority justifies the benefits of the drug against the possible damages he/she should reevaluate them and consult the reference material and previous studies.
Adult Dosage
0.057 mg/kg (0.057 (0.057)) As recommended. Inhalation — 2 to 4 times daily
