Contraindications
Podophyllum is contraindicated in conditions like Hemorrhage, Friable warts, moles, Birthmarks, Bleeding warts, Breast feeding.
Side Effects
WARNING/CAUTION: Even though it may be rare, some people may have very bad and sometimes deadly side effects when taking a drug. Tell your
doctor or get medical help right away if you have any of the following signs or symptoms that may be related to a very bad side effect:
Signs of an allergic reaction, like rash ; hives; itching ; red, swollen, blistered, or peeling skin with or without fever ; wheezing ;
tightness in the chest or throat; trouble breathing, swallowing, or talking; unusual hoarseness; or swelling of the mouth, face, lips, tongue,
or throat. Very bad skin irritation. Very bad pain, swelling, or bleeding where treated. Very bad burning or burning that does not go away. A burning, numbness, or tingling feeling that is not normal. Very bad belly pain. Very bad constipation . Fever or chills. Sore throat . Any unexplained bruising or bleeding.
Warnings
Podophyllum should not be used during pregnancy or lactation or to children. Avoid prolonged or excessive use.
High Risk Groups
Drug should not be given to Pediatrics, Pregnant Mothers, and Neonates. If prescribing authority justifies the benefits of the drug against the possible damages he/she should reevaluate them and consult the reference material and previous studies.
Adult Dosage
0.15 to 0.3 % (0.22 (0.225)) As recommended. Topical — As Required
Child Dosage
15 to 30 % (22 (22.5)) As recommended. Topical — As Required
Neonatal Dosage
15 to 30 % (22 (22.5)) As recommended. Topical — As Required
