Practolol is contraindicated in conditions like Acidosis, Cardiogenic shock, Heart block, Bradycardia, Refractory heart failure.

Along with its needed effects, a medicine may cause some unwanted effects. Although not all of these side effects may occur, if they do occur they may need medical attention. The drug should not be used in sinus bradycardia, when heart block is more than 1st degree, cardiogenic shock and cardiac failure.

Drug should not be given to Paediatrics, Pregnant Mothers, patients suffering from Kidney dysfunction, and Neonates. If prescribing authority justifies the benefits of the drug against the possible damages he/she should reevaluate them and consult the reference material and previous studies.
