Overview
Technetium Tc-99m lidofenin is a non toxic radiopharmaceutical i-e used in clinical evaluation of hepatobiliary disorders in humans.
Indications
Technetium Tc-99m lidofenin is primarily indicated in conditions like Diagnostic procedures, Liver diseases.
Contraindications
Technetium Tc-99m lidofenin is contraindicated in conditions like Hypersensitivity to any component of product.
Side Effects
The severe or irreversible adverse effects of Technetium Tc-99m lidofenin, which give rise to further complications include Drowsiness, Skin rashes, Headache, Hypersensitivity.The signs and symptoms that are produced after the acute overdosage of Technetium Tc-99m lidofenin include Fever, Stomach distension.The symptomatic adverse reactions produced by Technetium Tc-99m lidofenin are more or less tolerable and if they become severe, they can be treated symptomatically, these include Itching, Flushing, Nausea and vomiting, Faintness.
Warnings
As some radiopharmaceuticals may accumulate in bladder so to increase flow of urine and lessen amount of radiation drink plenty of water or liquid and urinate often after certain tests. Care should be taken in allergic patients
High Risk Groups
Drug should not be given to Pregnant Mothers.If prescribing authority justifies the benefits of the drug against the possible damages he/she should reevaluate them and consult the reference material and previous studies.
