Overview
Tropisetron (HCl) is anti-emetic agent, and 5-HT antagonist. Tropisetron (HCl) is used to prevent vomiting and nausea during cancer chemotherapy.
Indications
Tropisetron (HCl) is primarily indicated in conditions like Nausea and vomiting, Nausea and vomiting (chemotherapy induced), Post-operative nausea and vomiting.

Side Effects
The symptomatic adverse reactions produced by Tropisetron (HCl) are more or less tolerable and if they become severe, they can be treated symptomatically, these include Dizziness, Headache, Fatigue, Constipation, GI disturbance, Urticaria, Fever, Joint aches, Macular rashes.
Warnings
Dosage restriction is advisable in patients with moderate to severe liver impairment. It should be used with caution during pregnancy or lactation.

Adult Dosage
5 mg (5 (5)) 24 hourly PO — Maintenance for 5-Days 5 mg (5 (5)) As recommended. Slow IV — Once before starting Chemotherapy
