Typhoid Vaccine is contraindicated in conditions like Hypersensitivity.

WARNING/CAUTION: Even though it may be rare, some people may have very bad and sometimes deadly side effects when taking a drug. Tell your doctor or get medical help right away if you have any of the following signs or symptoms that may be related to a very bad side effect: Signs of an allergic reaction, like rash ; hives; itching ; red, swollen, blistered, or peeling skin with or without fever; wheezing ; tightness in the chest or throat; trouble breathing, swallowing, or talking; unusual hoarseness; or swelling of the mouth, face, lips, tongue, or throat.

Vaccine should be used with caution in patients with any illness, infection, allergy or if patients receiving radiation therapy. It should be used during pregnancy or lactation only if clearly needed. The vaccine should be postponed in subjects suffering from acute febrile illness. The vaccine protects against typhoid fever caused by Salmonella typhi. Protection is not conferred against parathyroid fever or illness caused by non-invasive Salmonellae. Vaccine has not been evaluated in children under 2 years of age. Nevertheless, it is known that the children under this age may show a sub-optimal response to polysaccharide antigen vaccines. The decision to use the vaccine in this age group should be based upon the risk of exposure to disease. Appropriate medical treatment and supervision should always be readily available in case of a rare anaphylactic reactions following the administration of the vaccine. Typhoid vaccine under no circumstances be administered intravenously.

Drug should not be given to Neonates. If prescribing authority justifies the benefits of the drug against the possible damages he/she should reevaluate them and consult the reference material and previous studies.
