Overview

Zinc is a naturally occurring mineral. Zinc is important for growth and for the development and health of body tissues. Zinc-220 is used to treat and to prevent zinc deficiency and it also helps in the immune system function. Zinc-220 may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide.

Side Effects

Get emergency medical help if you have signs of an allergic reaction : hives, difficult breathing, swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat. Common side effects of Zinc-220 may include: nausea ; or upset stomach . This is not a complete list of side effects and others may occur. Call your doctor for medical advice about side effects. Adult Dosage

0.01 to 0.02 mg (0.015 (0.015)) 3 hourly Ophthalmic — - 0.2 % (0.2 (0.2)) As recommended. Ophthalmic — drops. Scraped Dose — Use exactly as directed on the label, or as prescribed by your doctor. Do not use in larger or smaller amounts or for longer than recommended. The recommended daily dose of zinc sulfate changes with age. Follow your healthcare provider's instructions. You may also consult the Office of Dietary Supplements of the NIH, or the USDA Nutrient Database of recommended daily allowances for more information. Take Zinc-220 with a full glass of water. Take Zinc-220 with food if it upsets your stomach. Store at room temperature away from moisture and heat.
