Management of Back Pain

Pharmacological Treatment
- Bed rest on a firm mattress, in a comfortable position with hips and knees flexed
- Reduce weight (if obese), improve posture and adopt healthy life style
- Massage of the back and physiotherapy are also helpful.
BONE DISLOCATIONS
Tab Ibuprofen (Brufen )400mg , 1 tab PO x TDS ' OR
Orphenadrine Tab Diclofenac (Voren) 50-100mg, 1 tab PO x TDS
Tab Paracetamol +orphenadrine (Wilgesic / Duragesic 450mg + 35mg), 1 tab PO x TDS
Tab Calcium + Vit - D (Qalsan - D 1 tab PO x OD for at least one month
Patients not responding to initial therapy or who have systemic symptoms should be referred to Rheumatologist or Orthopedic Surgeon for further management
