- To be collected in clean, wide mouthed container without preservatives and send immediately. If delay, refrigerate
- Avoid contamination with urine
- In suspected cholera cases, the watery sample may be sent in Alkaline peptone water for better isolation rates. (Request APW for specimen collection which can be transported the next day).
