In pyoderma
- Swabs from active sites or aspirate. In fungal infections (for dermatophytes) Specimen is to be collected in dark clean paper, fold, clip and label.
- In skin lesions, clean the area with spirit and skin scrapings from margin of lesions taken
- In infected nails, nail clippings and in hair lesions
- dull broken hair from the margin to be taken.
