  1. Admit the patient
  2. Gives ORS again and again
  3. Inf Ciprofloxacin (Cipro) 100ml IV BD
  4. Inf Metronidazole (Flagyl) IV TDS
  5. Inf R/lactate or N/S 1L IV BD
  6. Inj Drotaverine (Nospa) IV SOS
  7. Inj Dimenhydrinate (Gravinate) IV SOS

Home Treatment

  1. Soft food for 3-4 days
  2. Use clean boiled water
  3. Tab Ciprofloxacin (Ciproxin) 500 mg 1xBD for 6 days
  4. Tab Mebeverine (Colofac) 70mg 1xBD for 10days or SOS
  5. If Chronic diarrhea then give along ORS
  6. If drugs associated diarrhea, then Dioctahedral smectite (Smecta) sachet
