Vomiting in Pregnancy

(Hyperemesis Gravidarum)

Tab Metoclopramide (Metomide) 10mg 6 hourlies

In severe cases:

Inj Metoclopramide (Metomide) 10mg IV 6 hourly
Tab Promethazine 25 mg 6 hourly
Inf N/saline 1L IV BD SOS
Correct Electrolytes balance
If still not controlled the U/S abdomen to rule out Molar pregnancy and twins
Drug of choice are:
Metoclopramide 10mg TDS
Promethazine 25mg at night
Chlorpheniramine 4mg at night
