Non-Pharmacological therapy
- Burn area put under tap water
- Do not break blister
Pharmacological treatment
- If blisters are broken
- Wash gently with soap, cold clean water then put Gentian violet or silver sulphadiazine on exposed area
- Oxygen inhalation
- Tab Paracetamol (Panadol) SOS, if severe pain then Inj Morphine, Inj Tramadol (Tramal)/ Dimenhydrinate (Gravinate) IV Stat
- Tetanus prophylaxis
- Benzyl penicillin 4M unit stat, Children 1.5M units stat
- Inj Ceftriaxone (Oxidil) 1gm IV- BD
- Burn cream: Quench, Burnol or Dermazin , Polyfax ointment
