Prophylaxis: Tab Ferrous sulphate 100mg 1x OD
Tab Folic acid 0.5 mg daily
Tx of Folic acid deficiency: Tab Folic acid 5mg daily
Tx of iron deficiency:
- Tab Ferrous sulphate 100mg 2-3 times daily until recover
- After 1st trimester if Hb is less than 11 then
- Tab Ferrous sulphate OD till lactation
- Tab Folic acid 0.5mg 1x OD till lactation
- Diet rich in iron and proteins to be recommend.
