Hypothyroidism
- TSH: More than 20mU/I, T3,T4 decreased level
- Tb Levothyroxin, 1st 2 weeks 50ug/day, 2-3 weeks 100ug/day, for whole life 150ug/day, adjust according to TSH value
Hyperthyroidism
- Tab Carbimazole (Carbizole) 40mg 1xOD -3weeks
- Then Maintenance dose 5mg x OD
Thyrotoxicosis
- Ionize salt
- Schiller iodine
- Thyrotoxicosis before 40 years: Surgery-Thyroidectomy
- After 40years: iodine radiations
