Iron deficiency Anemia
Iron deficiency Anemia: Hb< normal, MCV<80
- If Hb less than 8, Blood transfusion
- Tab Folic acid 5mg 1x OD
- Tab Iron-Folic acid (Iberet folic) 1x OD
- Tab Cyanocobalamin, Thiamine, Vit A, Pyridoxine (Neurobion) 1x OD
- Inj Iron-Folic acid (Bisleri) 20mg diluted in 100ml N/Saline
Sickle cell anemia
- Fluid + Good nutrition
- Antibiotic for infection
- Oxygen inhalation
- Tab Folic acid 5mg 1x OD for month
- Tab Hydroxyurea(Hydrea) 15mg/kg/day
- Leg ulcer zinc sulphate dressing
- Transfusion
Thalassemia
- Tab Folic acid 5mg 1x OD for month
- Blood transfusion
- In case of massive blood transfusion, Tab Ferinil 500mg 1x TDS
Hemolytic anemia
- Tab Prednisolone (Deltacotril) 5mg 1mg/kg/day
- Tab Folic acid 5mg 1x OD
- Blood transfusion
- Splenectomy
- Inj Cyclophosphamide (Cyclomide) 500mg IV OD
