Ascites

  • Salt, water restriction
  • Bed rest
  • Water intake less than 1L/day
  • Tab Spironolactone (Aldactan) 100mg 1x OD
  • Inj Furosemide (Lasix) 40mg IV BD
  • Inf Moxifloxacin (Mofest) 400mg IV OD
  • Inj Omeprazole (Risek) 40mg IV OD
  • If still not recovered then
  • Therapeutic tap with regular monitoring of BP
  • Inf haemacil for fluid replacement of therapeutic tap
  • Aminoloban for albumen replacement
  • Definitive treatment- Liver transplant
